Fifth grade students at Rutherfordton Elementary School recently participated in the Muddy Sneakers Program, an environmental education program that works with fifth grade students in public schools across Western North Carolina. Students visited a private area at Walnut Creek Preserve to study forces and motion in a wooded setting.
