Suellen Greenway Turner passed away July 12, 2018.

She was a longtime resident of Gaston County. Sue was the beloved wife of Timothy Turner, loving mother to Laura Greenway, and adoring Nana to Elijah (E.J.), Serenity, and Jackson.

Sue was a woman of great faith, great courage, and uncommon patience. She faced a health crisis with a calm and peaceful attitude that transcended fear. Her outlook on life and death was remarkable and inspiring.

She loved her family, and she loved Tim's family as well. There were many dinners and outings together and many, many cherished memories were made. Sue and Tim loved to hike, to travel, and to walk their dog, Marley. Sue loved animals and had many pets over the years, and she has left behind many funny stories of pet escapades.

Sue loved and was devoted to her sisters: Debbie, and husband Charlie Parks; Diane, and husband David Johnson; and niece Tammy Caldwell. Members of Tim's family who loved her are Michael & Judy Turner, Elaine & William Boone, Shelia Owens, Bennett & Robin Turner, Sarah & Stuart Saunders, William & Sheri Boone, Jr., and Kristi & Tony Robinson.

As she joins her Heavenly family, we take great strength in the fact that she is now whole again. We will miss her always. She has gifted us with many happy memories. Sue was predeceased by her parents Johnny & Aline Crane.

Sue was honored in a ceremony at The Padgett & King Chapel

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Duke University Hospital, 710 West Main Street, Suite 200 Durham, NC 27701 or a charity of your choice.
