Susan Alley Hartford, age 61

Susan Alley Hartford, age 61, of Forest City, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, March 18, 2016.

Born May 18, 1954 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Thomas McBrayer Alley and Hazel Josephine Campbell Alley. She worked for Eaton Industries for twenty-two years and was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church. Susan enjoyed singing and listening to southern gospel music, working in her yard, caring for others and spending time with her family. She was a loving and giving person who put others before her own needs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Thomas James McGinnis and four brothers, Ronald Alley, Bobby Alley, Jerry Wayne Alley and Jimmy Alley.

Survivors include her daughter, Megan Hartford; sister, Cathy Lynn Guffey of Forest City; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service was conducted at Harrelson Funeral Home with Reverend Lanny J. Funchess officiating.
