Teddy Robert Austin, age 64

Teddy Robert Austin, age 64, of Forest City, passed away August 22, 2013. 

A native of Buncombe County, Ted was the son of the late Robert and Floraine Riddle Austin. He was maintenance technician for Sonoco Plastics and attended Piedmont Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Sandy Jones Austin; daughter Amy Cowan and husband Bill of Spindale; son Joshua Austin and wife Ashley of Rutherfordton; daughter Ashley Repasky and husband James of Marion; seven grandchildren, Ivy, Ellington and William Cowan of Spindale, Carter and Abbygale Austin of Rutherfordton, Morgan and Andrew Repasky of Marion; sisters Elaine Chapman of Asheville, and Tammy Harvey of Swannanoa.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Randy Austin.

Funeral services were held at Piedmont Baptist Church with Rev. Ad Hopper officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Care Partners, 68 Sweeten Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28803.
