Teens take part in trivia night

The Hub at the Rutherford County Library hosted Bill Grimsley and his "Game Show Mania" Tuesday, July 21. During the evening, volunteers answered trivia questions from pop culture behind podiums complete with digital score boards, flashing lights, microphones and special sound effects. Also included were "physical challenges" which gave them an opportunity to win extra points toward prizes for eating disgusting food, dancing the chicken dance and twirling hula hoops -- all to the delight of the crowd. The audience was also able to play along by answering any unknown questions. After three rounds, the teenagers stepped aside to cheer their parents on during the fourth round, which watching them do the "Hokey Pokey."
