Thomas Ellis Allen age 82

Thomas Ellis Allen age 82 of Forest City passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021.

Born December 8, 1938 in Mount Rose, Michigan he was the youngest of ten children of the late Lee Henry Allen and Lucille Miller Allen, and was preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers.

Thomas served his country in the United States Navy from 1957 until 1961 having served on the USS Independence during the Bay of Pigs.

In addition to his parents and siblings, he was preceded in death by a son, Timmy Allen, his mother-in-law, Connie ''Nanny" Balderstone who resided with he and his wife for 47 years, and his step-mother, Mary Barnum Allen.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Bobette Balderstone Allen; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tammy and Mike Johnson, and Timberly Allen, all of Forest City; three grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
