Tom Dotson, 85

Tom Dotson, 85, of Cliffside, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. 

A native of Cleveland County, he was born on April 08, 1928, a son of the late Frank and Maggie Rogers Dotson. He retired from Hoechst Celenese Corporation as an Electrical Supervisor. He loved to golf and bowl and loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Nell Dotson; one grandson, Richie Dotson; two brothers, Dennis and Willard Dotson; three sisters, Ocie Thomas, Agnes Loizakes, and Pauline Ernst.

He is survived by his sons, Ricky Dotson and wife Pat of Cliffside and Rodney Dotson of Cliffside; one daughter, Rheta Dotson Houser and husband Cecil of Cliffside; one sister, Marilyn Sessoms of Boiling Springs; his grandchildren, Heather Bowen and husband Darrell and Matthew Houser and wife Amy; great grandchildren, Hunter and Luke Bowen and Maggie, Logan and Olivia Houser, special friend, Karla Cain.

Funeral services were held at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Kathy Houser officiating. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery of Kings Mountain.
