Toney Alan Sloan - "THE BABY", aged 61

Toney Alan Sloan - "THE BABY", aged 61, of Spindale, passed away on July 6, 2018.

He was surrounded by his doting family at his side. Toney was formerly of Eskdale, WV; then after his mother's death 7 years ago he came to live with his devoted Sister, Linda, "Ninny Gail or Sissy Gail" and Brother-In-Law, Steve or "Steve-Steve". Steve is Toney's best friend and bosom buddy. Toney went everywhere with Steve. They were joined at the hip. Whenever Toney's health allowed it, Toney loved riding in the car going nowhere and everywhere and he loved to eat French Fries and chicken nuggets and drink coffee or a coke while on his daily trips with Steve. It was their time together to do whatever they wanted and go wherever they wanted. Toney was Linda and Steve's life. They cared for him 24/7; seven days a week and they loved caring for him. They had a love for Toney that was unconditional and Toney returned that love. He was very happy with them and having Toney with them has been the true blessing of their lives. God knew what He was doing when He gave Toney to Steve and Linda. Toney never wanted for anything no matter what it was, if they thought Toney wanted or needed something to help him ease his disabilities, they got it for him. He truly was their life and they lived for him. Toney was "The Baby" of the family and he remained so all his life. He will forever be "The Baby" and there will never be another love like the love Linda and Steve, William and Loretta had for Toney because he was the love and joy of their lives and they are going to miss him so very much.

Toney was preceded in death by his parents, William Lee (Jack) Sloan and Ada (Toody) Mae (Nelson) Grounds Sloan; his Paternal grandparents, Oliver Jackson and Ethel Belle (Ferrell) Sloan and Maternal grandparents, Elmer Nelson and (Kate Kelly) Nelson Adkins Hackney; his half-brothers, Elmer Ray Grounds, Richard Macky Grounds and Freddie Wayne Grounds.

Toney is survived by his loving Sister, Linda Gail and beloved Brother-In-Law, Steve Cross at home, his beloved Brother, William Lee (June June) Sloan, Jr. and his loving Sister-In-Law, Loretta Gail ('Retta) of Charleston, WV his Nephews, Steve William Cross (Stevie) of Bostic, NC, William Lee Sloan III (Willy) and Fiancé, Helana of Ripley, WV, his Nieces, Amanda Walton and husband Jamie of Charleston, WV, and Jennfier Bryant and husband Jeff of St. Albans, WV, his adoring Great Nephew and French Fry Buddy, Noah Cross of Gaffney, SC; Great Nephews, Austin, Layton and Brian Walton of Charleston, WV and Great Nieces, Mary, Ashley, and Kimberly Oxley and Kalie Walton of Charleston, WV.
