Transportation Day Held

Preschoolers at the Carver Center recently were treated to hands-on learning to compliment what they'd been studying in the classroom. During a transportation day event, four and five year old students had a chance to climb inside and honk the horns on various trucks, trailers, motorcycles and more. "We have been talking about transportation from one place to another, and have learned about the differences in land, air and water transportation," said Preschool Teacher Carrie Gary. Math and literacy skills were incorporated into lessons as well, she added. "Today was about them having a chance to look at it and really bring home the lesson. It's just a fun event that we hope to do each year."
