Virginia Aileen Martin, age 67

Virginia Aileen Martin, age 67, of Ellenboro, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016.

Born September 4, 1949 in Rutherford County, she is the daughter of the late Dollie Mode Martin and Crawford Miller Martin.

In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Ann Gettys and a nephew, Alan Gettys.

She is survived by her three daughters, Denise Cromer and husband David, Dawn Wilcox and husband James, Dee Bennett and husband Chad; sister, Betty Jo Brown and husband Benny; and brother-in-law, Jeff Gettys. She is also survived by five grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life was held at Liberty Baptist Church in Ellenboro, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 60 East 56th Street, 8th floor, New York, NY 10022
