Virginia Blanton Holland, 95

Virginia Blanton Holland, 95, of Cleveland County, formerly of Forest City, passed away on February 22, 2018.

She was the daughter of Lucian and Sallie Scruggs Blanton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Holland.

Mrs. Holland sewed and worked for many years alongside her husband in Bill Holland Upholstery. They were avid gardeners. They were members of Adaville Baptist Church for many years, but joined Florence Baptist and were there many years as well.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Wanda Goforth (Joe), of Casar, and Alva Davis (Sam) of Taylorsville, NC. Two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mrs. Holland leaves behind two sisters, Ethel Ledbetter of Shelby, and Grace Francis of Earl. Ann Padgett was her beloved friend and former neighbor.

Funeral services were held at The Padgett & King Chapel. Rev Dr. Bobby Gantt and Rev Keith Fulbright officiated. Interment followed in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

The Padgett and King Mortuary & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
