Virginia "Ginny Anne" Reid, age 84

Virginia "Ginny Anne" Reid, age 84, of Cliffside, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015.

Born January 31, 1931 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Raudy Greene and Prella Beason Greene. She and her husband, Ashley, owned and operated Reid's Clothing Store from 1952 until 1992. Ginny Anne was also a lifetime member of Cliffside United Methodist Church. She was an outgoing "people" person who enjoyed participating in the annual Cliffside Days Event. Ginny Anne most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by ten siblings.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-eight years, Ashley D. Reid; one son, Allan Reid and wife, Diane of Cliffside; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at the Cliffside United Methodist Church with Reverend Robert Hodgens officiating. Interment followed in Cliffside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
