Wade Clifton Laughter 80 of Rutherfordton

Wade Clifton Laughter 80 of Rutherfordton passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019.

He leaves behind his loving wife of sixty-two years, Margaret Creasman Laughter. Also left to cherish Wades memory are his daughters Kathy Laughter-Fisher and husband Scott, Becky Laughter Dimsdale and husband John, and Lisa Laughter-Mitic and husband Mike. Wade was blessed to have five grandchildren. Wade also knew he would have a great-granddaughter arriving soon and it brought him great joy. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl Winslow Laughter and Mae Parker Laughter, a brother Jerry Laughter and a sister, Glenda Rhodes.

Wade was raised in the lumber industry and worked in that field his entire career. He fulfilled a lifelong dream and became owner/operator of A&L Lumber Company Inc. in Polk County NC, which he ran successfully with his wife for close to thirty years. He retired to their beautiful farm in the Shiloh Community and he enjoyed the remainder of his life loving the Lord, his family, his home and his dogs. He leaves a legacy of Christianity, integrity and humor, which will be celebrated by all who knew him.

The funeral service was held at Nealsville Church of God in Marion. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
