Walter Rex Dale, age 74

Walter Rex Dale, age 74, of Rutherfordton, passed away April 23, 2015.

Born February 23, 1941 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the Milford and Lula Dale. He was a member of Danieltown Baptist Church.

Rex is survived by his wife, Geraldine Dale; son, Chris Dale; daughter, Patricia Tuttle and husband Ricky; step-children, Roger Blackwell and wife (Karen), Glenda Martin; brothers, Henry Dale and wife Nita, Gene Dale and wife Sharlene; sisters, Faith Brown, Judy Dale Hayes, and Audrey Epley and husband Gerald. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Andrew Dale, Sarah Dale, Justin Tuttle, Erica Tuttle, Emily Tuttle, Alex Blackwell; five great-grandchildren, Adriana Peterson, Brooklyn Peterson, Grayson Tuttle, Caleb Tuttle and Riley Dale.

A funeral service was conducted at Danieltown Baptist Church with Pastor Creig Lovelace and Reverend Danny Black officiating. Interment followed the service in the church cemetery.
