Wayne "Lightnin" Conner, age 75

Wayne "Lightnin" Conner, age 75, of Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015.

Born March 3, 1940 in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Lee and Belle Conner. Wayne worked for Lutz-Yelton Heating and Air and Master Temp Heating and Air for many years. He also worked for Scott Vending Company for several years. He was a Baptist and enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Reid Conner and sister, Lois Conner Hall.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-two years, Joan Earley Conner; three daughters, Tammy Glawson and husband, Scott of Clayton, NC, Suzanne McGuire and husband, Tim and Lori Irvin and husband, Toney all of Mooresboro; one son, Chad Conner of Ellenboro. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend John Godfrey officiating.
