William A. Roberson, age 87

William A. Roberson, age 87, of Forest City, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018.

He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late John Bostic Roberson and the late Clara McDade Roberson. William was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where he was a former deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was preceded in death by his first wife Sue Flynn Roberson.

He is survived by his wife: Lucille Henderson Roberson. One Daughter: Susan Davis. One Stepdaughter: Lisa Byers Harris. One Stepson: Adrian Byers. Two Sisters: Mary Helen Sorrels and Elizabeth Alexander. Two Brothers: Charles Roberson and Walter Roberson. Five Grandchildren and Six Great-Grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Rev Scott Moneyham officiated. Interment was held at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rutherford County Honor Guard provided military honors.
