William "Bill" Lester Lanser, age 69

William "Bill" Lester Lanser, age 69, of York, SC, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019.

Bill was born January 13, 1950 in Port Washington, Wisconsin to the late William John Lanser and Lois Bartlett Lanser. He worked for American Machinery Rebuilding for many years and was of the Catholic faith. Bill enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and antiquing. He was an animal lover who enjoyed his pet dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lanser. Catherine Lanser and two brothers, Jim Leisch and Kenneth Leisch.

Those left to treasure his memory include his wife, Catherine Hewitt Lanser; daughter, Carisa Lanser of Forest City; two sons, William U. Lanser (Shannon) of Forest City and Robert John Lanser (Janine) of Wallkill, N.Y.; two sisters, Sue Paape of Saukville, Wisconsin, Nancy Leisch of Tomahawk, Wisconsin and brother, Robert Leisch also of Tomahawk, WI. Seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson survive him.

A gathering of family and friends was held at Harrelson Funeral Home.
