William Carlton Jones, 83

William Carlton Jones, 83, of Lake Lure, passed away Wednesday February 13, 2019.

A native of Jefferson County, AL, he was the son of the late William Corley and Ruby Jones Taylor. William was a retired US Navy Veteran, serving from 1954 until 1984. After his military service William retired from the United States Postal Service in Forest City where he was a city carrier.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Robin Millette and husband Kevin; son Billy Jones; five grandchildren; sister, Betty Jo Huston.

Graveside services were held at Bills Creek Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Charles George VA Hospice, 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC 28805.

Crowe's Mortuary and Crematory is serving the family.
