William Chivous "Bill" Huntley, age 88

William Chivous "Bill" Huntley, age 88, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018.

A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Clarence Edgar Huntley and Mattie Roberson Huntley. Bill retired as the office manager with American Credit and also worked in used car sales for many years. He was a US Air Force veteran, a graduate of Cool Springs High School and a member of First Baptist Church, Forest City.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty Ruth Daniel Huntley of the home, a daughter, Karen Huntley Quick and husband Ashley Lynn Quick of Mooresville, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held in the Padgett & King Chapel. Rev Dr. Garin Hill and Rev Dr. Barry Keys officiated. Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Forest City. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 211 West Main Street, Forest City, NC 28043. The Padgett & King Mortuary & Crematory is serving the family.
