William F. "Bill" Dysart, age 85

William F. "Bill" Dysart, age 85, of Caroleen, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018.

Born October 23, 1932 in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Beaulo Dysart and Eldaree Owens Dysart. He attended Tri-High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during Korean War. Bill worked for K-Mart for many years and for Biggers Brothers Produce. He faithfully attended various Baptist Churches and the Church of the Exceptional. Bill loved to travel to Nashville and enjoyed listening to Country Music. He was also an avid baseball fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doshie Smart Dysart; three brothers, B.J. Dysart, Bobby E. Dysart, Donald N. Dysart and a nephew, Butch Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory include three sisters, Mattie Lackey of Forest City, Hazel Appling or Rutherfordton, Helen Ricks of Gastonia and special friends, Ralph and Robin Boyd of Morganton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews which includes special nieces and nephews, Nick Smith, Mike Smith, Rene' Vinson and David Smith.

The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Rev Ralph Boyd and Rev Alan Hoover officiated. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with military honors being rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
