William Howard Curtis, age 76

William Howard Curtis, age 76 of Forest City passed away Wednesday June 15, 2016.

Howard was a native of Rutherford County and born May 23, 1940 to his parents, Julius Albert Curtis and Juanita Hill Curtis. He was a faithful and supportive member of the Forest City Church of the Nazarene where he served as an elder. Howard also served in the United States Army and was the Maintenance Supervisor for the Forest City Housing Authority. His wife of fifty years, Rebecca Sue Yelton Curtis, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sons, Jeffrey Scott Curtis of Ocala, FL, William Gregory Curtis and wife Patricia of Forest City, his brother, Bobby Dean Curtis and wife Carolyn of Forest City and one grandson.

A graveside service was held in the Cool Springs Cemetery with the Reverend Dale Austin officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, Post Office Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
