William Phillip “Bill” Dufault, Sr. age 90

William Phillip “Bill” Dufault, Sr. age 90 of Forest City, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014. 

He was born in Brockton, Massachusetts; and was the widower of Sudie Shytle Dufault.  He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and later retired from the US Air Force in 1964.  Following his military career, he worked for and retired from Reeves Brothers, Rutherfordton.

Survivors include a son, William P. Dufault, Jr. of Massachusetts; daughters, Bonnie Louise Dufault of Iowa, and Michelle Ann Dufault of Oregon; step-sons, Marshall Shytle and wife Glenice of Dallas, NC and Bill Shytle and wife Wilma of Ellenboro, NC; step-daughters, Jacqueline S. Allen and husband Spencer of Forest City, NC, and Frances S. Difatta and husband Tom of Lincolnton, NC; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Memorial services were held in the Padgett & King Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
