James "Jim" Hawley, age 67

James "Jim" Hawley, age 67, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018.

Jim was born November 21, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana and was the son of the late James F. Hawley and Betty J. Toliver Hawley. He was a graduate of Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis, class of 1969 and worked for United Southern Industries for twenty-five years. Jim was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and a life-long student of History. He also enjoyed taking care of his pet cat, Furbie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Ann Powell.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Doris Burgess Hawley; daughter, Michelle White and husband, Ray of Bostic; two sisters, Sharon Hawley Bennett of Rutherfordton and Bonnie McMann Howen of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two nephews; two nieces; five great-nieces, and a great-nephew.

A gathering of family and friends was conducted with a Eulogy being provided by Mr. Todd Bennett. Interment followed in Cool Springs Cemetery.
