Kathleen Gee Cowham, age 89

Kathleen Gee Cowham, age 89 of Forest City, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015.

She was born May 19, 1927 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Willie V. Gee and Bertha Funderburke Gee. Kathleen was retired from Eaton Corporation where she worked in quality control. Her sisters, Isabel Lanford and Reba Searcy, and brothers Paul, H.P., Leland, and Max Gee preceded her in death. Kathleen was a devoted mother and grandmother and she enjoyed working in her yard and feeding her birds which made daily visits to her porch.

Survivors include her sons, Chris Cowham and wife Denise of Rutherfordton, Robert Cowham, Jr. and wife Sue of Silver Springs, MD, a daughter, Karen C. Brown and husband Bill of Greenville, TN, two sisters, Valrie Walker of Beltsville, MD, and Carolyn Covington of Gastonia, NC, three grandchildren, Jennifer Cowham, Melissa Eaker, and Leah Cowham and great-grandchild, Ava Scruggs.

Funeral services were held in The Padgett and King Chapel. Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
