Doris "Grammy" Caldwell, age 78, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020.

Doris was born April 20, 1942 in Gaston County, to the late James William Campbell and Agnes Gertrude Nolan Campbell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years, Allen D. Caldwell; stepfather, Clyde Brooks; brother, David Benjamin Nolan and a grandson.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her son Allen Dean Caldwell, Jr. (Amy) of Forest City; two daughters, Nancy Caldwell of Forest City and Cathy Kozlowski (Tom) of Mooresboro; stepdaughters, Rose Caldwell of Forest City and Rita Caldwell of Lincolnton; sisters, Nance Ruff and Donna Ruff (Bud) all of Rutherfordton and brother, Clyde Andrew Brooks (Betty) of Mooresboro. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Memorial donations are requested to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
