Sherry Hodge Bright completed her 16 years on the Rutherford County Board of Education Tuesday night. Bright was elected and re-elected to the Board 16 years ago. School Board chair Phillip Morrow and other board members are with Bright.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity I was given to serve our community in this capacity. Over the years, I have gained so much knowledge from board members, superintendents and other school personnel. All of you are special to me. RCS has such amazing staff, teachers and administrators," Bright said. She thanked educators, administrators, staff and all school personnel for all they do for the students of Rutherford County.
