Family Resources Inc. of Rutherford County recently held its annual 2021 Child Abuse Prevention Button Contest.

The contest is open to all elementary school students in Rutherford County and is held to present awareness of preventing child abuse.

Katie Elliott, a fifth grader at Ellenboro Elementary School, won first place in the contest.

Katie's design was creative, colorful with the message, "Being a child shouldn't hurt."

She received a new bicycle as her prize.
