A.D. Hopkins, 75 of Forest City, NC passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011. A memorials service was held at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home.

Mr. Hopkins was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Pearl Adkins Hopkins; and two sons, Donald Hopkins and Richard Hopkins.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Motter Hopkins; one son, Kenneth Hopkins and wife Denise of Mooresboro; one daughter, Joann Lamb and husband Bob; two step-sons, Michael Blackwood of Forest City and Kevin Blackwood of Texas; one step-daughter, Lori Suhy of Boiling Springs, SC; one sister, Sadie Lambert of KY; nineteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home is serving the Hopkins family.
