Addie Ray Vassey Marshall, 92, of Forest City, NC, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Services will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Internment was held in Alexander Cemetery.

Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, D.P. Marshall; her parents, Forest Chester Vassey and Eva Lee Owens Vassey one brother, Ralph Vassey and sister, Nellie Harrill.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Littlejohn of Gaffney, SC; one son, Steve Marshall and wife, Beverly of Atlanta, GA; one grandson, Forrest Marshall of Barnardsville, NC; two step-grandchildren, Wendi Moore Gary and husband, David of Marietta, GA and Rob Moore and wife, Collette of Lake Norman, NC; two sisters in-law, Bonnie Tessnear of Alexander and Margaret Marshall of Forest City.  She is also survived by three great step-children, Lauren Moore, Taylor Moore, Ryan Moore and a number of nieces and nephews.
