Alan Dale Greene Sr., age 60, of Ellenboro, NC, passed away August 29, 2026.

He was born August 22, 1966, to the late William Greene and Mary Fowler Greene. Alan served his community for many years as a member of the SDO fire service, serving alongside his son, Alan Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Greene and Mary Greene, and infant grandson, Cecil Greene.

Alan is survived by his children, Alan Dale Greene Jr. (wife Kaade) of Forest City, and Amanda Greene of Shelby; his siblings, William Greene, Shannon Greene, and Crystal Greene, all of Ellenboro; and six grandsons, Zachary Greene, Owen Greene, Leland Greene, Waylon Jones, Wade Jones, and Lewis Greene.

The family asks you remember Jesus loves you and you are never too far gone to be saved by His grace. Knowing that Alan Sr. received Jesus into his heart brings peace to his loved ones.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held from 6-8pm Thurs., Sept. 3 at Harrelson Funeral Home.
