Alan "Flip" Scott Keeter, age 62, of Forest City, passed away July 10, 2021.

Alan was born November 14, 1958 to the late Louise Hawkins Keeter. He worked as a med-tech for Golden Harvest and Union Mills Assisted Living Centers for many years. Alan was a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Janice Downey, Diane Phillips, Cindy Bostic and a brother, Darrell Keeter.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 20 years, Carla Keeter; sons, Justin and Leslie Keeter both of Tennessee; daughter, Jennifer Keeter of Hendersonville, NC; a brother-in-law who raised him, Russell Downey of Shiloh; three stepchildren, Jessica Hill, Angela Wood and Jerry Greene all of Rutherford County; grandchild, Bentley Keeter, six step-grandchildren and a host of host nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor Alan's life was held July 16, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Robby Snyder and Reverend Chad Sisk officiating.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
