Alec "Al" Stenson Evans Jr., age 73

Alec "Al" Stenson Evans Jr., age 73, husband of Vickie Evans of Union Mills passed away April 4, 2022.

Al was a native of Cobb County Georgia and a retired police officer for the city of Atlanta and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a sniper with the 5th Rangers Wolfpack, received a Purple Heart and numerous other honors. He continued his support of his brother's in arms with his participation in the Patriot Guard, Rolling Thunder, Sons of Liberty and Wounded Warriors.

In addition to his wife Vickie he leaves to cherish his memory his children Angela Bruce, Eric Evans and Carter Evans; step children Matthew, Keith, LeeAnn and Crisey King and a number of grandchildren.

A celebration of Al's life was held April 11at Round Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Curtis Lane officiated. Military honors were provided by the Boiling Springs SC American Legion and the Patriot Guard.
