Alfred Hugh Lattimore, 88, of Rutherfordton, passed away on February 26, 2020.

He was born in Rutherford County on July 18, 1931, the son of the late James Thomas and Mary Kate Lynch Lattimore.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving stepmother, Nell Eplee Lattimore, brothers James Thomas Lattimore II and John William "Bill" Lattimore, and sisters Doris Lattimore Crawford and Marjorie Lattimore McClure.

Left to cherish and honor his memory are his wife of more than 63 years, Reba Ann Robinson Lattimore; his children, June Lattimore Breckinridge and husband Bill, of N. Charleston, S.C., Glen Lattimore and wife Brenda of Riegelwood, N.C., Nicole Carr and husband Deane of Statesville, N.C., and his dear nephew Doug Lattimore of Rutherfordton, whom he considers a son; brothers Frank Lattimore and wife Betty and Charles Lattimore and wife Kathy of Rutherfordton and Steve Lattimore and wife Margie of Buchanan, Va.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include several cousins, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Hugh served in the U.S. Army.

The funeral service was held at Green Hill Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
