All Kids Bike Kindergarten  Learn-to-Ride Program at Spindale Elementary School completed

The All Kids Bike Kindergarten Learn-to-Ride Program at Spindale Elementary School is complete for the school year with plans to begin the curriculum again in September or October, said Physical Education teacher Susan Womick. The fleet of 24 bikes, pedal conversion kits, helmets, one teacher instruction bike, and certified curriculum teacher training, was granted to Spindale with funding by Foothills Regional Commission, Safe Kids Rutherford-Polk, and Foothills Health District. Spindale is the first All Kids Bike school with plans for other programs. Before learning to pedal, there were sessions for helmet fitting and bike seat fitting.

All Kids Bike is a national movement led by the Strider Education Foundation, which is a 501(c)3 organization formed in 2017.The All Kids Bike Learn to Ride Program was launched in 2018 and is actively running in over 900 schools in all 50 states.
