Alvin J. Searcy, age 88, of Forest City, NC, died Tuesday, June 27, 2023.

A native of Rutherford County Alvin was the son of the late Aiden and Josephine Searcy.

Alvin was an US Army Veteran, and he retired from Duke Energy after 40 years.

In addition to his parents, Alvin was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Searcy, and an infant brother, sisters, Ethel Hill, Jeanette McGraw, and Alice Taylor.

Alvin is survived by his wife, Sylvia Searcy, one son, Blake Searcy, one sister, Evelyn Ervin, and one brother, Albert Searcy.

A graveside service was held at Bill's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery June 29 with Rev. Keys Pendleton officiating of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
