Amelia Padgett Richards, age 80 of Mooresboro

Amelia Padgett Richards, age 80 of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

She was born February 2, 1945 in Cleveland County to the late Paul Royce Padgett and the late Ruth Jean Martin Padgett. Amelia was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She loved to take care of her children and grandchildren.

Amelia is survived by her husband Dale Richards, her children Alison Smith, Steven Weast, Michael Weast (Lynn) and Angie Richards Millwood and her husband Shane, grandchildren; Jessie, Stephen, Jacob, Tyler, Christoper, Brandy, Haley, Justin, Lilly and Grayson and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Amelia was preceded in death by her son Christopher Paul Guffey and her sister Joanna Padgett Graves.

A memorial service was held February 18 at Eggers Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Worthy officiating.
