Have you walked with a two-year old?

Have you ever tried to take a two-year-old on a straight-ahead walk? It just doesn’t happen.  Children that age have an entirely different agenda.  For a two-year-old, there is no sense of accomplishment with leaving point A in order to arrive at point B.  The only reason for even venturing out the door is the prospect of the journey—or to meander—between point A and point B.

 My friend Dave just killed a buck in Ohio. This time however, instead of waiting on the big one, he arrowed one that had a lot to be desired. It was an older buck with one antler that had been broken off and the other one that looked as if each point had been worn down to the nub. The body of the deer was big as is typical in Ohio, but the wear and tear of many years of fighting had taken its toll on the rest of its features.

Rutherford County Beekeepers’ Club
Announces its 2012 School. The school will meet from 8:30am-12pm for five Saturdays, beginning January 21 and ending February 18, 2012 at the Rutherford County Annex, Rutherfordton.
