On the basketball court, it is rivalry week with East Rutherford facing R-S Central on Friday (1/10).

East has relied on Travis Waldroup-Rodriguez and Devonte Boykins all season long. Kaleb McEntire on defense, Shakari Jackson, and Trey Dawkins have stepped up, but will it be enough against a R-S Central who has a little more depth.

She’s one of nine children and has been a nurse for forty-three years. It was in the last twenty three years that she found the true meaning of what nursing is about. Since she joined Hospice of Rutherford County it “became her home”. To Cindy LaFon, Hospice defined what nursing should be. It is the “heart of nursing”. Nobody, absolutely nobody, can give you what Hospice offers.

Do you decorate?

   I really love the Christmas and New Year’s holidays what with all of the decorations.  You go to an office building, there are decorations.  You go shopping, there are decorations.  You drive through a neighborhood, there are many fine examples of exterior illumination displays that would make Griswold envious.  Even some truckers hang wreaths on the front of their rigs to celebrate.

   But then all the decorations come down and are put back into their out-of-the-way hiding places, destined to gather dust until next season.  Everything looks rather plain, doesn’t it?  Even barren of anything that resembles a celebration.
