Thomas Jefferson played their worst game of the season and fell on the road this past week to Union Academy 30-24 last week. Despite a third string quarterback due to injuries, the Gryphons still had a chance, but couldn't complete the regular season undefeated.

"One day I just said, 'I'm going to do this.' I started with one flagpole with an American Flag, North Carolina State Flag, and an MIA Flag from the Vietnam War, and it just grew and grew...I sat up late at night and drew the figures and I just did it the way I planned it."

I spent Saturday morning with about eight other friends and acquaintances, hunting deer. My mood was still melancholy because of the unseasonably warm weather, but the company and camaraderie made up for it.
