Sorry, I hardly miss a week, but I took a couple off, but now I am back. A rivalry showdown on the basketball court and the NFL playoffs start this weekend.

"In order for Rutherford County Special Olympics to get off the ground, several things need to happen." says Robin Parsons, Co-Coordinator for Rutherford County Special Olympics. "We need people who will volunteer as coaches and we need athletes."

Chase Corner Ministries Thrift Store: $3 Bag Sale every Friday in January, 8.30am-2.30pm. 1604 Chase High Rd, across from Chase High School, Forest City. Proceeds go to the crisis center to help your neighbor in need.

Buffet Breakfast: Sat. Jan. 13, 7am-10am. The Gilkey School Community Center. Adults $6, kids 6-12 $3, kids 5 and under Free. Proceeds help support the Community Center.
