Avis Philbeck Street, 84, of Mooresboro, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011.

    A native of Rutherford County, a daughter of the late Brisco and Gladys Lovelace Philbeck.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Leonhardt Street; five brothers, Hubert Philbeck, Hewitt Philbeck, Chivis Philbeck, Morris Philbeck and Max Philbeck; two sisters Vertie Dillenger and Doris Stowe.     She is survived by one son, John Leonhardt Street, Jr. “Junior” and his wife Rita of Mooresboro; one daughter, Renee Street Smith and husband John; two brothers, Wade Philbeck of Green Hill and Edwin Philbeck of Mooresboro; one sister, Jennie Thompson and husband Robert of Rutherfordton; 11 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.
