Barbara Hardin Roberts, 71, of Forest City, NC, died Saturday, January 14, 2023.

Born in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late G.W. Hardin and Mary Frances Walker Hardin. Barbara worked for Cleveland Capital Holdings for many years and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. She was a member of the local Civitan chapter for over twenty years, serving as Civitan Lt. Governor twice. Barbara had also served as a Cub Scout Den Mother.

Survivors include her companion, Reid Melton of Forest City; son, Bruce Roberts (Tricia) of Stony Point; five grandchildren, and a step-son, Charlie Melton (Laura).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Hardin.

Graveside services were held January 16 at Cool Springs Cemetery with Rev. Mike Conner officiating.
