Bertha Jane Owensby Sisk, age 70, of Forest City, passed away March 13, 2012.

    Bertha was born on March 25, 1941 in Gaston County, NC to the late Ernest Owensby and Pauline Adkins Owensby.     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Owensby.

    Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Jerry Sisk; one daughter, Amanda Marie Sisk Barney and husband, Jeff of Mocksville, NC; two grandchildren, Shea McKenzie Barney, Creighton Kyler Barney and a large extended family.

    Funeral services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Rutherford County, POB 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
