Bessie Ree Harmon Davis, 83, of Union Mills, passed away on Tuesday, September 03, 2013. 

A native of Rutherford County, she was born on July 29, 1930, a daughter of the late Hammie Wade and Emma Parris Harmon. She was a retired Nurse and member of State Line Baptist Church of Gaffney.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Dean Davis; one daughter, Sherry Hatcher; one brother, Bud Harmon; one sister, Jeraldine Phillips; one grandson, David Crotts.

She is survived by her son, Michael L. Davis and wife Christine of Largo, FL; one daughter, Sallie Conner and husband Michael of Union Mills; one brother, Wilson Harmon and wife Dorothy of Winston Salem; one sister, Rachel Phillips; her grandchildren, Shane Cline, Jeff Cline, Zoey Davis, Michelle Crotts, Dillon Conner, J.P. Conner, Codey Hatcher and Jesse Hatcher; ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Godfrey officiating. Burial was held at The Western North Carolina Veteran’s Cemetery of Black Mountain.
