Betty DeBusk Turner, age 72 of Ellenboro died Sunday, December 25, 2022.

Betty was born April 9, 1950, in Kingsport, TN and was a daughter of the late Ralph Edward and Edith McCroskey DeBusk.

Betty was a graduate of Emory & Henry College, and she received her master's degree from UNC Asheville. She taught Physics and Science in Virginia and then East Rutherford High School in 1974 where she taught until her retirement with thirty years. Betty was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Donald Turner, sons Stuart Yeatts of Youngsville, NC and Scott Yeatts of Wendell, NC, brother David DeBusk of Johnson City, TN, and sister Dr. Janet Allen of Oakridge, TN, two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
