Betty Lou Watkins Bridges, 84, of Ellenboro, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020.

Born July 20, 1936 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late George Pinkney "G.P." Watkins and Ella Helton Watkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Johnny Bridges in 2019 and a brother George P. Watkins, Jr.

Surviving are her son, Max Bridges and wife, Wanda of Ellenboro; two daughters, Susan Guffey of Ellenboro and Wanda B. Overhulser of Bostic; brother, Roger Watkins and wife Shirley of Bostic, seven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren also survive.

Graveside service was held at the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.
