Betty Thomas Stapp, age 90 of Forest City passed away Monday, December 11, 2017.

Betty was born February 10, 1927 in Harwood, Missouri and was a daughter of the late Rayford Bryan Thomas and Emma Frances Stotts Thomas. She was a homemaker and had worked in various church offices as a secretary. She and her husband moved to Lake Lure in 1995 and in recent years moved to Forest City. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Forest City. Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha and brother, Weldon Thomas.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Stapp, a son David Stapp and Robin of Arlington, Texas as well as three grandchildren.

A memorial service was held in the First Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Garin Hill officiating.
