Biggest & Best Car Show In The Southeast! Saturday, August 17th, Forest City

With just 10 cars in 1991, Hot Nights & Cool Rides began in Forest City. It was a presentation of the Forest City Merchants Association. Now 22 years later, over 400 cars will come from all over to vie for top prizes. It is now called the biggest and best car show in the Southeast.

On Friday, August 16th from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. there will be early registration at the car show headquarters, 108 East Main Street, Forest City. On Friday there will be three bands playing at three downtown restaurants beginning at 6 p.m (The Brewhouse, Forest City Diner and Lane’s BBQ). On Saturday, August 17th, Main Street closes at 8 a.m. for the cars in the show. At 9 a.m. the car show opens. All day Saturday there will be food, fun and entertainment. At 7 p.m. on Saturday evening the trophy winners will be announced.

In addition to keepsake T-shirts, the Forest City Merchants Association will also offer the fourth edition of the keepsake Christmas ornament. The price is only $6.00.

The Registration Fee for each car is $25.00. All vehicles must be registered to participate or be given a space. The best part of this fantastic car show will be that for anyone and everyone who wants to come - it’s absolutely free! You, your family and friends will be able to view classic cars, street sedans, coupes, hot rods, T buckets and trucks. Also see foreign cars, modified trucks, motorcycles, special custom cars and more. If it’s got four wheels, you’ll find it there and many are just one of a kind. See the half million dollar Lamborghini and make a wish. Make sure to bring your camera and take pictures for great keepsakes. It’s a fun time for all.

Until next year this is the only opportunity you will have to see such a magnificent collection of creative machinery from then to now. It’s all free and the biggest treat of the year for the motoring public.
