Billy Dean Shytle, age 84, of Ellenboro, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

Billy was born September 7, 1938 in Rutherford County to the late Wilburn Shytle and Sudie Millwood Dufault. He was a skilled carpenter and worked in carpentry for over forty years. Billy was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Dufault and a sister, Kathryn Winkler.

Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife of 64 years, Wilma Smart Shytle; daughter, Julia Pruett (Wayne) and son, Gary Dean Shytle (Angie) all of Ellenboro; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Jackie Allen of Forest City, Frances Difatta (Tommy) of Lincolnton and a brother, Marshall Shytle (Glenice) of Dallas.

A memorial servicewas held December 28 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Conner, Rev. Ad Hopper and Rev. Jason Madison officiating.
