Blaine H. Hardin, age 81, of Phoenix, AZ and formerly of Rutherford County, NC, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012.
Blaine was born on June 24, 1930 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Grover C. Hardin and Lillian Virginia Harris Hardin. He was a graduate of Tri-High School, class of 1948 and served in the US Army during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Wanda Hardin, Melba V. McLean and Martha McDaniel.
Survivors include two brothers, Grover “Buck” Hardin of Oxon Hill, Maryland and Karl Hardin of Spindale, NC. He is also survived by a good friend and caretaker, Martha Spears of Phoenix.
A memorial service was conducted at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
